# COMP-347 - Computer Networks

COMP 347 comprises seven units:

* Unit 1: Introduction to Computer Networks, the Internet, and the World Wide Web
* Unit 2: The Application Layer and Network Applications
* Unit 3: The Transport Layer
* Unit 4: The Network Layer: Data Plane
* Unit 5: The Network Layer: Control Plane
* Unit 6: The Link Layer and Local Area Networks
* Unit 7: Wireless and Mobile Networks

This course is taught using a combination of online materials and instructor support.

## Evaluation

Your final grade in COMP 347 is based on the marks you achieve on three
assignments, participation in the course forum, and one invigilated
exam. You must achieve at least fifty percent (50%) on each component
of the course and an overall course grade of at least fifty percent
(50%) to pass the course. Students who do not achieve a minimum passing
grade on the final examination are allowed to write one supplemental
examination. There is a fee for this service.
